Supervision and Consultation

As a Washington State approved supervisor, I provide supervision to mental health counselors seeking licensure in WA state. Additionally, I offer consultation to clinicians who have completed licensure requirements yet are seeking ongoing support and guidance in their practice. I love the opportunity that supervision and consultation provides to create a safe and nurturing place where clinicians can grow in confidence and thrive. Although I practice in a particular way, I am committed to helping my supervisees discover the therapeutic style that fits their practice.

My theoretical orientation is eclectic as a result of studying under an array of practitioners with varying orientations. Areas of specific consultation and supervision that I can provide include:

  • Building a private practice

  • Insurance billing

  • Managing secondary trauma

  • Support during crises/emergency situations

  • Awareness of transference/counter-transference

  • Burn-out in the helping profession and sustaining methods of self-care

  • Self-compassion

  • Attachment theory

  • Trauma recovery

  • Somatics and mind-body healing

  • Couples counseling

Starting a private practice can be a daunting task. Having built a private practice myself, I am able to provide administrative and procedural guidance to clinicians launching their own private practice.

If you’re interested in supervision or consultation with me, I’d love to hear from you. I’m currently offering both weekly/ongoing supervision as well as one-off consultation.
